Bohman awarded Presidential Fellowship

Engineering and public policy Ph.D. student Angelena Bohman has been selected as a recipient of a Presidential Fellowship in the College of Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University.

First established in 2014, the Presidential Fellowship Program is amongst the most competitive and prestigious scholarships awarded by the university. The fellowship program provides important financial support to recruit and retain outstanding graduate students, whose work here ensures that Carnegie Mellon maintains its position as an international leader in graduate education and research.

Bohman’s research focuses on power grid resilience. In particular, determining an understanding of the technology, costs, and benefits of power outage mitigation strategies and how to consider power system resilience goals together with decarbonization goals.
